In Saudi Arabia the cities of Riyadh and Jeddah are featured along with traditional towns and

villages in the provinces of Najran and Asir; the ancient city of Al Ula, the Nabatean city at

Medain Saleh and stations along the Hejaz Railroad in Madinah Province;  the ancient town of

Dumat al Jandal  with its castle and Mosque of Umar in Jouf Province; and other sites of historical

interest including the National Museum at Riyadh and several regional museums.

 

In Qatar the dazzeling modern architecture of Doha is featured, along with the new Museum of Islamic

Art and its contents.

 

In Kuwait the focus is the city and its rapidly changing skyline, along with several historical sites and museums.

 

In the United Arab Emirates it is the breathtaking extravagance of the leading edge architecture that is the center

of attention in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

 

In Oman it is traditional village architecture and the famous castles from Salalah in the south to the Straits of Hormuz in the

north.
